Version Compatibility

This documentation targets the Matchbox 0.2 release series.

Function signatures, syntax, command-line options, and examples describe that major.minor documentation edition. Patch releases in the same series may appear on the Release Notes page with their full version numbers.

This edition was checked against a rebuilt Matchbox 0.2 release binary. Development-branch features are not included until they are part of a release build.

When documenting another release:

1. Update matchbox_version in variables.json to the major.minor documentation series.
2. Review syntax, built-in functions, command-line options, and diagnostics.
3. Mark features introduced or removed by the release series.
4. Rebuild both web and offline documentation.
5. Test links and syntax examples before publishing.
